Terms of participation

Participation in the competition of Echo Impact Exchange GmbH, hereinafter referred to as operator or organizer, is free of charge and is governed exclusively by these conditions of participation.

Course of the competition
The duration of round 1 of the competition extends from 08.09.2022 – 15.09.2022. Round 2 extends from 31.10. – 21.11.2022. Within each period, users will be given the opportunity to enter the competition online.

Participation
Participation in the competition is free of charge. Registered users can participate by using the referral functionality of Echo Web App i.e. by inviting other natural persons to create an account at app.echo-exchange.com within the time frame indicated above. This must be done by providing their email-address to the in-app dialogue field (click “Invite your friends”, at the bottom of the main menu) or by sharing the personalized invitation-link created by that same dialogue.

Participation is only possible within the entry period and requires the registration of a user account. Each registration of a referee (person receiving a referral from an existing user) at app.echo-exchange.com within the duration of the competition is considered a successful referral and is counted as one point for the referrer (i.e. the user giving the referral). The referrer with the most successful referrals and hence the most points wins the competition.

Only referrals made to other natural persons count. The use of non-existing persons or the repeated self-registration using different email aliases is strictly prohibited and leads to direct exclusion from the contest. Echo Impact Exchange GmbH reserves the right to request credible proof of the validity of referrals and to exclude users who fail to do so.

Eligibility
Eligible to participate are natural persons who are resident in Germany or the European Union and have reached the age of 14. Participation is not restricted to customers of the organizer and is not dependent on the purchase of goods or services.

In order to participate in round 1, it is necessary to have registered at least 9 settled orders (buy and sell orders combined) with the 9 weeks preceding the first day of the competition. Participation in round 2 requires to completion of at least 1 trade in total. Eligible users will be notified via email.

Should a participant be restricted in their legal capacity, the consent of a legal representative is required.

Not eligible to participate in the competition are all persons involved in the conception and implementation of the competition and employees of the operator as well as their family members. In addition, the operator reserves the right, at its own discretion, to exclude persons from participation if there are justified reasons, for example

(a) in the event of manipulation in connection with access to or implementation of the prize game, (b) in the event of violations of these conditions of participation, (c) in the event of unfair actions or (d) in the event of false or misleading information in connection with participation in the prize game.

Winning, notification and transmission of the prize
Users will be ranked according to the amount of points collected. The following prize will be awarded in round 1:

• 1st place: 20.000 Echo Coins for the first place
• 2nd – 10th place: 3000 Echo Coins.

The winners will be determined after the closing date by comparing the amount of points collect during the entry period. Places 1 – 10 will be notified about their specific rank and informed about the price. The Echo coins will be transmitted to the wallet of the account that was used for participating on the Echo Exchange web application. All winners will be informed about the prize in a timely manner via a separate email.

The following prize will be awarded in round 2:

• 30€ gift card + 10.000 echo coins (Ǝ)
• 20€ gift card + 6.000 Ǝ
• 10€ gift card + 3.000
• Rank 4 – 100: raffle of 10 x 500 Ǝ

The winners will be determined after the closing date by comparing the amount of points collect during the entry period. Places 1 – 3 will be notified about their specific rank and informed about the price. All participants placed 4 – 100 will be entered into a random draw. All participants will be notified about ranking among the top 100 traders in this particular round. The winners of the raffle will be notified about their win. The Echo coins will be transmitted to the wallet of the account that was used for participating on the Echo Exchange web application.

The prize will only be handed over to the winner or to the legal representative of the underage winner. An exchange, a self-collection as well as a cash payment of the prize are not possible.

Any costs incurred for shipping the prizes will be borne by the operator (within the European Union). Any additional costs associated with claiming the prize shall be borne by the winner. The winner is responsible for any taxation of the prize.

If the winner does not respond after two requests within a period of 3 weeks, the prize can be transferred to another participant.

Termination of the competition
The organizer expressly reserves the right to terminate the competition without prior notice and without giving reasons. This applies in particular to any reasons that would disrupt or prevent the competition from running as planned.

Data protection
Participation in the competition requires the provision of personal data. The participant assures that the personal data provided by him/her, in particular first name, last name and email address, are true and correct. By submitting the email address of other persons, participants declare that they have the recipient’s consent to do so.

The organizer points out that all personal data of the participant will neither be passed on to third parties nor given to them for use without consent.

In the event of a win, the winner agrees to the publication of his/her name and place of residence in the advertising media used by the organizer. This includes the announcement of the winner on the website of the operator and its social media platforms.

The participant may revoke his/her declared consent at any time. The revocation must be sent in writing to the contact details of the organizer provided in the imprint area of the Echo app. After revocation of the consent, the collected and stored personal data of the participant will be deleted immediately.
